Custom primitive data in base material to change base colors as needed

Early this year I worked on this personal project made for the Modular Environment course at CGMA. I wanted to recreate one of the most picturesque places in Buenos Aires. Around these streets with many shops, restaurants and people dancing tango, one can find hidden colorful patios. Caminito, a place full of art with a bohemian feeling.

A very important characteristic of this neighborhood is that everything is painted in different strong colors. To approach this, I used Custom Primitive Data in my base material. Once the material was set, I was able to create instances that allow me to use any material and change its base color giving me a variety of walls without having to create individual meshes.

Everything in this scene is made by me with the exeption of the quixel Ribbon Grass. I have modeled everything in Blender and sculpted in Zbrush. For the texturing I used Substance Painter, Designer and Photoshop. The UVs were worked in RizomUV, and lastly everything was rendered in Unreal Engine 5.

Thanks to Tragan Monaghan for all the feedback throughout the course. A huge thanks to my artists friends who jumped on calls anytime I needed their feedback and help!
